Surprisingly, nine signed up for what would be another adventurous Sirtoli hike, billed at 11 miles.\u00a0\u00a0But, as the weather projections deteriorated throughout the week, so did the numbers. \u00a0Three bailed out on account of rain and it rained<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0One person attempted to persuade Darlene not to hike just because of the perception of him not showing up.\u00a0\u00a0He said it makes him “look like such a wimp, staying home drinking hot cocoa with his bunny slippers on\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0You can\u2019t argue with a guy that has the title of \u201cSir\u201d in front of his name.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, the hike was close to the promoted 11 miles, finishing at a solid 12.\u00a0\u00a0With Paul, bait and switch is always existent, but not today.\u00a0\u00a0The rain didn\u2019t stop the six of us from having a great time, evident by ending the hike with everyone agreeing that it was a great hike.\u00a0\u00a0Lunch at the lean-to, hiking a trail from Chub Pond to Stone Dam that see\u2019s very little traffic, crossing a sketchy bridge that we were told was out, and the rain made it all worth getting off the couch.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On to the next adventure \u2026 and Lisa is already on to hers.\u00a0\u00a0After the hike today, she drove to Cranberry Lake to continue hiking this weekend. Nice!<\/p>\n
