With bad weather looming over our yearly event, seventeen people set off for Keene Valley on 7/7/2023, most of them were Tramp and Trail members, some were family of a tramp member.

We arrived at the Garden Parking located at the trailhead for JBL lodge around 10:15 am to be pleasantly surprised with many open parking spaces. This has been an issue for past year. The weather could have been the reason for the parking lot not being full. We started our 3.5-mile hike with thunder clouds over our heads and later to have them booming loudly with the approaching storm. Most of us made it to the lodge dry, some were not so lucky. We enjoyed our afternoon in the lodge playing several different games ranging from pitch, pigs and Qwirkle.

Saturday the weather called for rain again, but the hikes went on. We had tramps on Gothic, Armstrong, lower and Upper Wolf Jaws. Some decided to just hike the Jaws by themselves.

The hikes were completed with no rain but lots of sun and warm weather, leaving all of us jumping in the creek to cool off.

Many have voiced their voices asking for more next year.
