\n6 of us hiked 9.4 miles to East Pond on an incredibly sunny day with a cobalt sky.\u00a0\u00a0Arriving at the trail parking lot the temp indicated -11, warming up to balmy 12 degrees on the way out.<\/p>\n

There were a couple water obstacles that needed to be carefully navigated, ensuring no one would get wet.\u00a0\u00a0Along the way we stopped at Little Simon Pond, admiring the beaver\u2019s labor.\u00a0\u00a0Several beaver lodges dotted the pond.\u00a0\u00a0Once at East Pond, Paul and Jeremy attempted to find a lean-to that was indicated on a map that was once close to the lake.\u00a0\u00a0No luck, but suggesting a hike to the Blackfoot Pond for another day.<\/p>\n
