Animal Farm, the novel by George Orwell is reminiscent of today’s hike. Not that the Tramps resembled the critters, but that the main characters of the novel, albeit no pigs, were in force and made their presence known. Perhaps the beaver supplanted the swine. Their anthem ” Four legs good, two legs bad” did not resonate today, as we hominids perused the landscape in fine style. Thanks to Mike for providing an alternative activity for those of the lesser propensity.
