Twelve of us hiked the 5.4 miles under dreadful conditions.
It was easier to hike on the wet leaves than to slough through the mud.
Twelve tramps were led by Phineaus Fogg
Through hills and valleys and dreadful bog
Trout lilies, trillium and ramps were found
And the calls from a Loon was the only sound
Drenched by rain
Buried in mud
Happiness is surviving the flood
