14 tramps had a pleasant hike of about 6 miles, passing the three ponds in Gilbert Lake State Park on a warm slightly humid day. Lunch was had on the beach followed by a walk around the lake. Several of the cabins and stone buildings built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s are part of the park.
Most of the group stopped at the nearby Butternut Brewery after the hike.
