With thunderstorms booming and heavy rain coming down I decided that it was not a good
day to be in the woods, as in Winnie the Pooh we didn’t want to find “Heffalumps and Woozles beware beware…”
Darlene came up with a great idea of hiking three local hikes instead because the weather was to be
better in Utica than the Adirondacks.

We decided to take Tigger along with us on this blustery day to Trenton Green Belt, always a good
bail-out choice. Then we heard that Trenton Falls was open so we went there and, imagine this,
numerous fellow tramps were out as well taking in the views.

We ended our day with the switchbacks at Valley View Golf Course. The day turned out to be sunny and very warm, who knew?
Its never a dreary day if you use your imagination and come out to play…
